Who does not like eating boiled eggs, but before you plan on eating it, you will have to know about how to boil an egg. Have you ever eaten over or under boiled eggs, or perhaps broken boiled eggs because you could not peel the hard layer off. Not anymore, in this article am going to tell you a little secret by which you will be able to get the best boiled eggs that you will enjoy for years to come.
- To start with, take a small bowl or perhaps a saucepan, put the egg in it and fill it with water. Put enough water so that the egg is fully submerged in the water.
- Next, put the bowl on the stove and turn the stove on medium fire. Then, slowly you will see the water boil. Once the water starts to boil, lower the fire.
- Now, depending on how you want your eggs, that is, full boiled or half boiled, keep it for 3 to 10 minutes in the lowest of the flames. Personally i like the half boiled, it tastes a lot good, though you much understand that viruses like bird-flu takes about 8+ minutes of boiling at the least to die, so take that into perspective before you decide how long you want to boil your eggs.
- Once it’s done, drain the water. Put fresh cold water on it, and drain it again. That will cool the egg. Once the boiled egg is cool enough, pick it up with your hands.
- Now, it’s time to peel the outer hard layer and here comes my tip on how to peel a boiled egg. Take a strong spoon or something like that. Hold the egg on your left hand and spoon on your right hand. Start beating it up slowly, very slowly. Hit the egg with the spoon from all sides of the egg. You have to do this slowly, no use of power remember, just hit it delicately. You will see small, fine, hairline cracks developing throughout the eggs outer hard shell.
- Once you feel its cracked enough, keep the spoon aside and roll the egg in your both palms. Then, slowly start peeling off the hard shell. If you have done the above step neatly, then you will see how easily the hard outer shell of the egg is coming out.
Atlast, you now have the best boiled egg, the complete and scratch less, boiled egg. Eat it!
Note: It might not be so perfect in the first time, but don’t lose heart, keep trying and you will get it right finally.

Its a first time for me to encounter an article about boiling eggs. I never thought that there is some sort of art to it, from cooking to peeling.
Now that you mention about killing a bird flu virus with 8 minutes boiling, I go with hard boiled (10 minutes boling). I always like my eggs hard boiled.
