by admin

Having a bone cancer is no longer new to anyone. This case is mostly heard happening to hundreds if not thousands of people. Yet, most of this bone cancer is brought about by another illness or a disease and therefore we can call this kind of bone cancer as metastatic cancer or secondary one. This should be excluded from primary bone cancer where the cause or where the cancer began started on the bones first and foremost. This case is usually considered rare and where metastatic cancer is more the rule than exception.

The victims who fall prey to this kind of cancer are the young ones. More or less, those who are teens up to 25 years of age are the common patients to this disease. The older people no longer get afflicted by it, only if it is caused by a secondary disease that spread in the bones. The cancer of the bone basically happens in the bone itself or in the marrow where red blood cells are in stored.

So, primary bone cancer is the problem of the young. It is important then for these young people and their parents to know what are the symptoms of bone cancer to help them prevent it from worsening if this case happens to them. Therapy and medication can help but knowing it first is a good start of curing it.

Below are the signs of primary bone cancer.

  • Patients may experience prolong pain in where the afflicted bone is located. This is usually the limbs areas. There may also signs of unexplained swelling. More than that there is a feeling of tenderness of the bone.
  • Another sign that one has a primary bone cancer is the presence of unexplained fracture to one or more bones. These fractures may even have no obvious signs of trauma.
