Symptoms of Hepatitis – The Color tells it and other Signs

Hepatitis is one common illness, which caused by the inflammation of the liver caused by viral infection, medication and toxic agents. This kind of illness is usually characterized either as viral hepatitis or non-viral hepatitis. Since viral hepatitis is the type that one should worry about, it is helpful to know that there are two kinds of this kind of hepatitis. One is acute where the symptoms shows off rapidly on the person’s body and only takes a short course. The other one is chronic viral hepatitis where there can be no symptoms or if there is symptoms can go slowly as time progresses.

When one is an ill, symptom of illness usually appears in the body. But how it is when the liver is the one, which has the problem? Knowing that your liver is inflamed is difficult. Yet when it comes to the health condition of hepatitis more or less the symptoms can be seen on one’s color and other signs.

Here are the common symptoms of hepatitis:

Jaundice

This is one well-known symptoms of this illness. This happens when there is an accumulation of bilirubin in one’s body tissues. Since the function of the liver is to process waste product of the body, when it is damaged it can no longer facilitate that function. So abnormality in one’s skin or body tissue happens. When a person is already suffering from jaundice, his skin, urine and the whites of his eyes turned into color yellow.

Loss of Appetite

This is usually called anorexia and is often the first sign that one has an inflammation of the liver caused by viral infection. Most of the times this symptoms will last for sometime before it is replaced by nausea and vomiting.

Fatigue

Since the liver is a major organ that functions as metabolism and for storing of energy, inflammation of it can cause tiredness and fatigue.
