Stars have always been a symbol that involves lots of meanings. They have represented many different things through history and scientists were always fascinated with them and the eager to discover the whole unknown facts they may have. A star tattoo can have many different meanings, depending on who you speak to. Many people immediately associate a star with the heavens, others with the military and still other with the gay community. So, as you can see, they have many different meanings depending on the view and the person who has it.
Tattoos have always been popular through history and time, but we can see that star tattoos have become increasing popular in the last few years. Originally, you usually saw this artwork in military tattoo, and normally for sailors. The stars have long been used to navigate at sea. This nautical star is a protection from becoming lost and is often a reference to the idea of guidance and leadership. Many of the military patches and logos feature the nautical star.
